Rationale
Animating: in the first year of VFX and animation i have learned how to animate and how to do animation in general. Since i wasn't that experienced even tho i knew what after effects was. Now i know all the basics and how to use after effects and the ins and outs of the software. I have also understood the importance of sound design and the full usage of sound in different situation. In order to present emotions and show guidance on how the audience should feel or should be feeling while watching that scene or sequence. I have also learned how to use Maya and how to model 3D objects as well.
Project Concept
My idea for my FMP is to create this "never been done before" video that is promised to make you wonder ; how did he do that. The video is mostly a montage of my year 2018 including creative transitions, sound design and amazing visuals with a mixture of a short film format. I want this video to show a clear representation of my current skills in terms of film-making and my knowledge of film. I am also doing extra things like 3D modeling and shooting extra shots to push myself creatively and to overcome my limits. My research plan is to explore deep into the platform of modern film making which is on YouTube, since I got inspired from these content creators to do what I am doing now and i look up to them. I will re-watch their videos and see why their videos are better than mines and why they appeal to a lot of audience and my one is limited. I want to learn why they can do it in a way that is unbelievably pleasing to watch from the naked eye. There is layers to a single scene/clip. If I can learn to decipher and breakdown the effects used layer by layers, i should be able to achieve the look. I want this video is inspire other people to make them feel and say to themselves "I want to do something similar"
Evaluation
To record my evidence i will be blogging my process step by step explaining what i am doing in that current stage. By doing so i can go back to the blog and improve on my work as well as keeping track on the improvements i have made. Different types of plans will be presented to show diversity. I will be presenting my work on my website. I will also be peer reviewing along the way to get feedback from my co-workers and my mentors to improve on my work.
