The main genre of my FMP is Sci-Fi unfortunately this genre is not everyone's favorite as you can see by the stats. I can use this information to help me out on my next project so i can have elements of comedy in it so everyone can enjoy it
A lot of people who watches my video or stay up to date are within the age range of 16-18. This information allows me to put a lot of modern pop culture references as well as trending memes as only the younger generations would understand it. This would also create a bit of humor here and there to avid the video being straight forward and black and white.
Music is one of the most important aspect of my FMP, music and sounds takes control and moves my story along seamlessly. Gathering statistic on what a lot of people listen to really helped me in this process.
My FMP was initially meant to be a travel video titled "My Year 2018" where i show off my editing sicks through video of me travelling. This information allowed me understand what percentage of people enjoys watching travel videos. With this information i can estimate how long i want the travel video section to last.
In this video, my friend Adam from Film & Television Level 3 gave me some tips and tricks in general in order for me to improve on my FMP. In this video we talked about our own unique speciality and what we are good at as well as giving each other tips and things to improve. We went over colour grading, lens choices and much more in this video.
Things he said that was really valid to me was to over shoot then under shoot in variety of different shot types and sizes in a session so you have a lot to work with in the editing room. I have personally fallen victim to under shooting in a session and then when I'm editing the video i think "ohh i should have shot 1-2 extra shots"
